Tu sofá no es sólo un amor a primera vista, es una relación a largo plazo. Sigue leyendo para que tu ingenuidad no te juegue una mala pasada.

  1. Uso y posiciones del cuerpo. Si tú sofá es para un living, ten en cuenta que te sentarás más erguido. Por otro lado, si es para una salita, probablemente adoptarás una postura más reclinada para ver televisión. Esto lo determinará la profundidad del sofá y la altura del asiento, por lo que es importante definir estas medidas según el uso que se le va a dar al sofá.
  2. Altura. La altura del asiento debe ser lo suficientemente baja para que tus pies lleguen al suelo y lo suficientemente alta para que no te cueste pararte. Lo ideal es que al sentarte las caderas no queden más hundidas que las rodillas. Esto último es fundamental para personas de mayor edad. La altura óptima es entre 40 y 45 cm.

La altura de los apoyabrazos debe de estar a la altura del codo y no más abajo. En el caso de los sofás tipo cajón esto podría variar, ya que la altura del brazo es la misma que la del respaldo.

  1. Profundidad. Una profundidad estándar es entre 90 y 100 cm. Al sentarte no debieras sentir presión en la parte posterior de las rodillas. Si esto ocurre, quiere decir que el sofá es muy profundo para ti. Por el contrario, si las rodillas te quedan muy alejadas del cojín, significa que el sofá es corto.
  2. Rellenos. Como regla general el respaldo debe ser más blando que el asiento. Para los respaldos recomendamos rellenos de pluma y/o fibra siliconada, mientras que, para los asientos, la pluma o espumas de alta densidad.
  3. Respaldo. La parte baja de la espalda debe quedar protegida, es decir, que tenga un soporte dónde apoyarse. Para esto es fundamental el relleno como explicamos en el punto anterior. ¿Y que hay de los modelos sin cojín de respaldo como los Capitoné? En estos casos puedes hacer uso de un cojín pequeño para ponerlo detrás de tu espalda.
